Star nose job

Most of the famous celebrities that we know of actually had done their noses already even before they became famous. There are rumors that Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Tyra Banks all got help from either a rhinoplasty in Chicago or a nose job somewhere else – all done by a reputable plastic surgeon. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that as long as you go to a board-certified surgeon and actually get great results. From what we can see, all of them got awesome results and that is all that matters really.

However, there is one nose that hasn’t looked great ever since he had it altered in the 80s. I am talking about Michael Jackson and I hate to say this but I really feel bad when I look at his fake nose. It looks so gross! It’s like a only a piece of metal or string or whatever is holding that thing up. I am even puzzled if this guy can breathe properly with all those weirdness that he has done to his face. I am saying this not because I hate MJ but I am just disappointed by the choices he has made.

As for me, I wouldn’t want to change my nose for anything. I am happy with what I have.

Michael looks weird

I really do not understand why some people would want their faces or bodies changed for the sake of looking beautiful. Pardon my animosity towards this but I am not really against cosmetic surgery in cosmetic surgery in San Diego, CA. I am just annoyed at some famous people who tried to modify their looks for the sake of beauty, when in fact; they are already good-looking.

Take for instance, Michael Jackson. One of my friends really love this guy so much despite the way this man looks right now. He looks weird, with all those plastic surgery operations he has done since his Thriller days. Why would a black guy want to look like a Caucasian while his song says “It don’t matter if you’re black or white?” I really don’t get him.

He is uber talented. I love his songs too, I must admit. But the way he looks right now is just saddening.

Sinking of Japan

I watched Sinking of Japan yesterday despite my own protests. I would have wanted to watch The Brave One because I love Jodie Foster but he insisted that we should watch Sinking of Japan because it sounds interesting. Yeah, watching a country disappear from the map is more interesting than watching a woman take revenge of her boyfriend’s death. Yeah, I get the point.

So off we went to the cinema house and hoped for the best. Fortunately, the movie was really interesting. This is one of those moments when I was actually glad I was wrong. The plot is great and the scientific evidence presented is cool. No wonder this became the number movie in Japan for a while, as what the poster indicated.

I just didn’t like the love affair of the two main characters. There were several cheesy moments with them, and I totally didn’t buy it.

All in all, I give the movie a 4/5.

Rise

Rise is a story of a girl (Lucy Liu) who became a vampire after she was raped (and sucked) by well, obviously a male vampire. She somehow survived the fatal attack and vowed to take revenge on those who inflicted her with such thirst for blood.

She made it in the end and killed the one whom she hated the most. It was not the best plot for a film but since Lucy is there so I thought it would be okay. But then again, I was disappointed. The story flows so fast that somehow the characters were lost with it. The film ended without me relating with the main character. I felt sorry for her but that’s all. It didn’t grow from that.

Nick Lachey also made a cameo and I thought I was looking at a different person. He looked so bad on film. Hahahaha. And that role was mess.

Anyway, I still managed to make the most out of the movie experience. But I won’t tell you how I did it. Secret!

Harry Potter dies?

There are rumors spreading that J.K. Rowling’s 7th book - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - ended with the death of Harry Potter.

Well, I haven’t really read the HP books since Chamber of Secrets because I really was so taken up with a lot of things. But knowing that Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley are all gonna die in the end, makes me sad.

Anyway, I guess Rowling thought that the series will end better that way. Too bad for solid HP fans, the ending will prove to be gruesome. Sniff, sniff, sniff.
